Gracie Barra Alaska offers world class Brazilian jiu-jitsu
Instruction taught by
Professor Ted Stickel  a Gracie Barra
certified instructor and 1st degree black belt.

Gracie Barra Alaska prides itself on offering a safe, friendly,
family environment in which to train.

You are welcome to come in and observe a class and talk
with Professor  Stickel or one of the other friendly instructors.

The first class is free come in loose fitting clothes or a
gi.

Classes are offered for adults and children

Children's classes are offered three times per week,

schedule for details.

Classes range from beginning core fundamentals to
advanced instruction, sport BJJ competition,
judo and mixed
martial arts instruction.

Gracie Barra is the largest BJJ organization in the world with
many champions. Gracie Barra is overseen by Carlos
Gracie Jr., the son of the  original pioneer of Brazilian jiu-
jitsu, Carlos Gracie Sr. (refer to our
history page to learn
more).

Brazilian jiu-jitsu is based on principals of leverage and can
be practiced at any age and by any body type. BJJ is a
perfect art for total physical fitness, self-defense and building
self-confidence in all areas of life.
